BIBA East Midlands Event - Mental Resilience for Young Brokers presented by Claire Russell at MHIB
In this session, you will:
- Learn how to look after your mental health, especially in the current times when some are still at home and may feel slightly isolated or stuck indoors
- Learn how to recognise the signs if you are reaching a burnout, how burnout can be caused and how this impacts our mood and productivity
- Learn how to recognise if colleagues are suffering and how you can support/provide the help they need
- Learn how working from home can actually be more stressful, as it is easy to get into the habit of working after standard hours
- Learn where you can get help if you need it/how to reach out to your loved ones
- Learn how to switch off once your working day has ended/you have logged off
- Learn how to talk to management within your company about any issues you may have – often people suffering are anxious to reach out as they do not want people to think they cannot cope or cannot do the job but in the current climate, support is critical to aid your mental health
- It is ok to not be ok. We will explore some strategies and techniques to guide you in the forthcoming months
